John Miller is the Director of Business Development for Fifth Gear Automotive, an independent auto repair company with five (5) locations in Lewisville, Argyle, McKinney, and Cross Roads Texas. Joining Fifth Gear Automotive 6 years ago he leads their efforts related to the acquisition of new customers, new team members, and new locations. John’s passion is growing teams and individuals that are successful, productive, and balanced both internally and externally. John is skilled in business development, marketing, digital marketing, advertising, sales, sales management, media relations, and manufacturing.

John is a proud Gorilla graduating from Pittsburg State University with a BS focused on Printing Management, Business Administration, and Psychology. Prior to joining Fifth Gear John spent 35 years with several of the largest media companies in the country in sales and marketing and with his own marketing consulting firm.

John currently resides in the manly town of Flower Mound, TX in the Dallas/Fort Worth Suburbs with his wife of 35 years, Patty, and three (3) grown but still semi-dependent children. Prior to moving to Texas John lived in, and was kicked out of, several states including Colorado, Kansas, California, New York, Tennessee, Alabama, and Illinois to name a few. John attributes his experiences and the people in these varied locations to his well-rounded personal and professional growth.

John is very involved in his community, volunteering for multiple organizations including Journey to Dream, Christian Community Action, North Texas Special Olympics, and Lewisville Education Foundation. He is also a member of several Chambers of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Highland Village.

He enjoys spending time with his family, a good pool flotation device, boat drinks, fresh batteries in the tv remote, mustache wax, and people that tell him he looks thin.

John believes in surrounding yourself with great people and then investing in them to be successful both personally and professionally.
